Job description

Job Summary:
Viking Cruises is seeking a Financial Data Analytics (FDA) Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join the Corporate Accounting team in a fast-paced environment focused on collaboration, execution, and continuous improvement. The SFA is responsible for delivering accurate, timely operational data and reporting by leveraging tools such as OneStream, Excel, Power Query, and Alteryx to support the accounting teams in daily operations and month end close processes. The role will also partner with various teams including Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, and Accounting on process improvement initiatives.
This is a hybrid position based in our Woodland Hills, CA office. You will be required to adhere to our hybrid work policy, working from our office Monday and Thursday plus one additional weekday on a weekly basis.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute operational and financial reports using OneStream, Excel, Power Query, Alteryx, and emerging AI-based tools to support daily activities and month-end close.
  • Support change management processes by documenting and tracking change requests in Jira, ensuring alignment with approval protocols.
  • Execute system configurations within OneStream, D365, and Alteryx to support business requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform user onboarding and access provisioning in accordance with company policies, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties and compliance with internal controls.
  • Support quarterly and annual audits by preparing audit deliverables, including Information Provided by Entity (IPE).
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations within OneStream and D365, validating functionality and ensuring alignment with accounting requirements.

Job Requirements:
This role is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and is motivated by growth and change. The ideal candidate is highly organized, demonstrates strong time-management skills, and builds effective working relationships across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, finance transformation, business analytics, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing and transforming large data sets.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar analytics and automation tools.
  • Experience with OneStream, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP, EPM, or enterprise reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across finance, accounting, and technology functions.
