About the Role:
The Happy Viking Sports Pub and Eatery in Yuba City, CA is looking for an energetic and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our crew! This is your chance to be part of a lively sports pub atmosphere where great food, cold drinks, and good times come together. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love leading a team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Manager in daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences and resolve customer complaints promptly
  • Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage vendor relationships
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and staff training
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service compliance standards
  • Drive sales performance and assist in meeting revenue and cost targets
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of restaurant or bar management experience, preferably in a sports bar or casual dining environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Solid knowledge of food and beverage operations, including bar management
  • Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management
  • Valid California Food Handler's Card and RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest relations skills
