Job description

Title : Distribution Systems Engineer (Telecoms Technicians)
Location: 100% remote on EST
Duration: 6+ Month Contract, with potential to extend/convert full-time
Pay rate- $60-$65/hr on W2
Need someone who is eligible or already have active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
Job Description:.  
This role supports largescale network modernization projects, but it is not a traditional handson network engineering position. We are seeking technical designers who focus on documentation, diagramming, and turning survey data into accurate drawings — not network configuration or highlevel engineering. Candidates who enjoy detailed, behindthescenes design work will be the best fit.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain network architecture diagrams and layouts using Visio and/or CAD
  • Develop drawings for:  Asbuilt and futurestate network designs / Fiber, OSP, and pathway layouts/ Power systems, UPS, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Update and proof drawings based on:  Power, fiber, and infrastructure surveys /WiFi and general network assessments
  • Document infrastructure across multiple U.S. Air Force bases
  • Consolidate survey and design data into Technical Refresh documentation
  • Support engineering and implementation teams with accurate, validated designs
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of applicable experience in DS engineering (network infrastructure/switching, fiber and OSP design, power systems/UPS, Wi-Fi or RF-related infrastructure)
  • Experience with Visio and/or CAD for network, fiber, OSP or power designing
  • Must be able to translate field survey data in clean and accurate drawings
  • Focus skills on fiber splicing and fiber testing
  • Must have proficient communication skills
  • Strong systems/network designing experience
  • Candidates must hold/eligible to obtain either an active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
