Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Vatica Counseling Center include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health, emotional well-being, and behavioral challenges.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough diagnoses of various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, ensuring adaptation according to ongoing assessments of client progress.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including family members and other healthcare providers, to develop continuity of care plans that support clients’ long-term well-being.
  • Educate clients and families on available community resources, facilitating referrals to additional services such as specialized treatment programs or support groups as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing mental health practice along with adherence to the standards established by Vatica Counseling Center.
  • Perform supportive interventions for clients experiencing crises, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in high-stress situations.
  • Utilize our integrated telehealth platform to manage cases and document client notes within a secure and HIPAA-compliant framework.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the necessary resources and support from external agencies and care providers.
  • Conduct debriefing sessions for staff in collaboration with the Employee Assistance Program following adverse events, fostering a strong team culture.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Vatica Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele who may present with a range of diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will be essential in identifying at-risk individuals, managing complex discharge needs, and ensuring each client receives tailored support to enhance their emotional resilience and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution, which will be verified.
  • Current State Licensure as one of the following: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or a licensed psychologist.
  • A strong familiarity with community mental health resources to ensure clients have access to comprehensive support.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to client care, with a dedication to their well-being and empowerment.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience employed in a telehealth setting is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success in working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competency in mental health treatment.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in healthcare or community service environments.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Vatica Counseling Center offers additional benefits including:
