Job description

Responsibilities
Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is seeking a dynamic and talented PRN (as needed) Food Service Worker to work in the Dietary department.
The Food Service Worker is responsible for the following: assisting with preparing the salad bar when needed, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as required and stocking kitchen necessities on each floor as required. Hours may vary but must be able to work 12-hour shifts on weekends if needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Must have a basic knowledge of food service sanitation; prior experience in food service required, preferably in a healthcare setting. HS/GED required. This is a non-exempt hourly position.
Prefer SERV SAF food handler certification or be able to sit for certification. (Drug testing is part of the hiring process in addition to Background checks.)
