Job Summary
Qualified by training and experience to do all pipefitting and construction tasks with direct supervision, emergency response, turn ons, basic backhoe/trencher/front end loader operation, dump truck operator (CDL-A), eligible for callout list when judged qualified, (Utility A III - locates, high pressure excavation monitoring), skilled at higher levels of tasks below.
Utility A - II (C&M and Utility) - First Response on Call (1ROC). Also performed by all higher classifications in C&M and CS
Chosen candidate must live within 45 minutes of Reading, PA 19611
Duties and Responsibilities
- Dump truck operator
- Pipefitting and construction tasks
- Basic backhoe/front end loader operation
- Line locating
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must posess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Good mechanical or pipefitting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills a plus
- Must obtain CDL A operator's license in 6 months of hire
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
