C&M Apprentice

Position Summary:

Will perform basic pipefitting, basic backhoe/trencher operation and perform as a second man on a crew. They must be eligible for shift work and call out list.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Meter turn on, turn offs, leak investigations, meter changes
  • Basic pipefitting
  • Emergency Response when qualified
  • Perform other work as directed once qualified
  • Working in confined spaces
  • Perform other duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General computer aptitude
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques related to excavation work
  • Communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with supervisors and coworkers
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Length of Experience: 2 years
  • CDL License
