Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to gather essential information regarding the client's mental health status.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices, employing therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other recognized modalities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team by participating in case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance care quality.
• Educate patients and families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and access to necessary community resources.
• Stay informed of the latest research, treatment innovations, and best practices in mental health to continually refine your skills.
• Manage a full caseload with attention to providing timely and effective treatment while adhering to the ethical standards set by your licensing board.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass a broad patient population seeking assistance for various psychological conditions. You will work primarily with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and interpersonal relationship challenges. Our clients range from adolescents to older adults, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work experience. Your role will be pivotal in guiding clients through their healing journeys, employing both individualized therapy and group sessions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active, valid license to practice as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapy techniques and a solid understanding of mental health disorders.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving talents and critical thinking abilities to address complex situations.
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment that promotes mutual respect and ongoing growth.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a mental health outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining documentation and patient information.
• Previous experience providing family therapy or group therapy sessions will be highly valued.
