Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop customized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices and solution-focused techniques.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more, suited to each individual's circumstances and goals.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and relevant regulatory standards.
• Engage in frequent collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to share insights and enhance the quality of care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss complex cases and deliver optimal patient care.
• Educate and provide support to patients and their families, guiding them through the intricacies of their mental health conditions and available community resources.
• Stay informed about the latest research and clinical practices in mental health to continually improve your therapeutic approaches.
• Manage a diverse caseload effectively, ensuring timely treatment and adherence to ethical standards set by licensing boards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at True Balance Health Center, you will work primarily with individuals navigating various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and relational difficulties. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and you will be equipped to address their diverse needs through a culturally competent lens, ensuring that all individuals feel respected and valued in their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrable proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy and therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and colleagues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex cases.
• A collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and contributions from all team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient or telehealth setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with trauma-informed care principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting and managing patient relationships.
