Job description

Trinity Rail Maintenance Services is hiring a Lead Mobile Equipment Operator in our Saginaw, TX facility!
Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All.
The position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn't stray away from a challenge.
As a Lead Mobile Equipment Operator at Trinity, you'll operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine, and/or yard vehicles in order to move material and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations. You'll also ensure proper identification of parts and materials.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 plus
  • Leads team by assigning tasks
  • Assists in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
  • Maintains and improves quality
  • Complete understanding of the job, company policies and processes
  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete wide range of complex tasks
  • Familiar with a broad variety of field's concepts, practices and procedures
  • May operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skills
  • Independent judgment and resourcefulness or sense of leadership are required
  • Solves and identifies complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity
  • Trains, instructs and directs work activities of employees
  • May influence or impact others tasks or decisions
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:
  • Typically has 4 to 6+ years of related experience
  • Certified to operate overhead crane
  • May be certified to operate a scissor lift
