Job description

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring an Career Equipment Technician at our Saginaw, TX plant.
Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All.
As an Equipment Technician at Trinity, you'll perform preventive maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. You'll determine causes of operating problems, consult schematics, and order replacement parts.
The Equipment Technician performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays) and installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
The technician also lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels, etc.
What you'll do:
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment
such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components, or electrical wiring and
electrical components for production equipment
• Read blueprints
• Perform basic troubleshooting / 3 phase / equipment up to 600v
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
• 1-3 years' experience in related roll.
• GED/ High School, Technical Training, Associates Degree in related studies are
a plus but not required.
• Basic computer skills desired. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
