Personal Injury Law Clerk | Toronto | In-Office
Salary: up to 75k
About the Company

Our client is a well-established personal injury law firm located in Toronto, just north of the downtown core. The team is a highly tenured group that fosters a professional yet supportive culture.

About the Role

We are assisting the firm in their search for a Senior Personal Injury Law Clerk to support a busy Associate with a significant caseload. In this position, you will carry a caseload of over 100+ active tort files.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of tort files from intake to trial
  • Preparing correspondence, documentation, and reports
  • Drafting court documents and pleadings, including Affidavits of Documents, Motions, Notices of Examination, Trial Records, Dismissal Orders, and other required materials
  • Preparing undertakings lists, following up on productions and undertakings, and tracking all associated deadlines and timelines
  • Preparing and organizing Medical Briefs and materials for hearings and trials
  • Assisting with trial and hearing preparation, ensuring all documentation and evidence are complete and organized
  • Liaising directly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties throughout the litigation process

While the position is preferred to be in-office, there is flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement for the right candidate.

The Offer

  • Salary up to $85,000, commensurate with experience

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Law Clerk specializing in plaintiff personal injury (tort)
  • Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume file load
  • Strong knowledge of tort procedures, document production, and trial preparation
  • Experience drafting pleadings, affidavits, and settlement materials
  • Professional communication and client service skills when liaising with clients, opposing counsel, and insurers
