Work Environment

In this role, you will operate within a climate-controlled office setup, coordinating interactions remotely with healthcare providers and other department members. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate patients' mental health needs, employing clinical tools as guided by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
• Design individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring that specific cultural and special needs are addressed.
• Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, implementing tailored intervention strategies to support mental health diagnoses and promote effective symptom management.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and treatment records in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, and referral agencies, coordinating treatment options to ensure a comprehensive care approach.
• Provide education and mentorship to students, interns, and other early-career professionals within the mental health field.
• Participate in team functions such as peer reviews, chart audits, and collaborative clinical discussions to ensure quality standards are met and exceeded.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily work with individuals and families affected by cancer. This patient population often experiences heightened emotional distress, anxiety, and challenges associated with their diagnoses, necessitating a compassionate and supportive therapeutic approach. The clinician will address unique needs by developing strategies to improve mental well-being and coping mechanisms.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in oncology social work or familiarity with cancer-related psychosocial issues is highly beneficial. Candidates who have previously developed treatment plans and demonstrated a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic methods will be favored.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, offering between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, the role includes comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and the aforementioned sign-on bonus.
