Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Together For Change Center. This full-time remote position provides a unique opportunity to engage with clients in a school setting in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this role, you will work directly with individuals suffering from mental health issues and emotional disorders, developing customized treatment plans and offering a continuum of care and support.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still engaging meaningfully with clients within a school environment. You will collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and community resources to provide holistic care. As a remote worker, you will utilize telehealth technologies to maintain connections with clients and ensure quality care delivery, adapting your approach to individual circumstances and needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and develop tailored treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
• Implement evidence-based screening tools to assess client needs and adjust treatment strategies effectively.
• Participate collaboratively as a team member, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring timely completion of reports and data submissions.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate intervention as necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents grappling with major mental health issues and emotional challenges, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of Jersey City residents. You will adopt a culturally competent approach, recognizing and respecting varied traditions, beliefs, and behaviors that clients bring into the therapeutic setting. This role provides the chance to make a significant impact on under-served populations, fostering a supportive and understanding environment for healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Must hold an active LCSW license in New Jersey.
• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, risk assessment, and crisis management specific to diverse client populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen ability to engage with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience providing clinical services in mental health settings, specifically with children and adolescents.
• Demonstrated experience working in educational or school-based environments.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and the coordination of services across multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
