Position Overview

Timeless Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team in McAllen, Texas. This full-time position allows you to leverage your expertise in mental health counseling while delivering exceptional care through a telehealth platform. Work Environment

This role operates within a fully remote setting, utilizing telehealth technology to provide counseling services to clients across Texas. You will work with a dynamic and multicultural client population, enabling flexibility to connect with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting detailed mental health evaluations during initial consultation appointments and documenting findings to inform treatment decisions.
  • Developing individualized and group-oriented treatment plans tailored to clients' specific needs and goals, including evidence-based interventions.
  • Facilitating engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Regularly monitoring client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with therapeutic goals and clients' feedback.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to coordinate client care and treatment approaches.
  • Identifying potential barriers to client success and implementing strategies to address and mitigate these challenges.
  • Providing support to families and primary caregivers, helping them understand and manage mental health issues faced by their loved ones.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will be invaluable in guiding clients through their mental health journeys, ensuring they receive comprehensive support tailored to their circumstances. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults, enhancing your counseling experience.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • Passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong foundational knowledge in mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and treatment planning.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and maintain up-to-date case files.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a clinical mental health setting with a track record of effective counseling outcomes.
  • Experience in addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as substance abuse disorders.
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmacology as it pertains to various mental health conditions and treatments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
