Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a robust support system with our clinical team. You will utilize state-of-the-art electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to monitor client progress, document evaluations, and manage treatment plans. Our organization deeply values collaboration, and you will frequently engage with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric staff, to optimize client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial assessments and ongoing progress reviews, forming a crucial foundation for treatment planning.
  • Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices, as well as conducting group therapy that encourages peer support and engagement.
  • Effectively monitor and document client progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting plans and interventions as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care delivery and to address complex mental health challenges.
  • Maintain proactive communication with referral sources, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to coordinate care effectively for clients requiring hospitalization or specialized services.
  • Educate and prepare family members and primary caregivers to better support their loved ones in overcoming mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counseling services cater to a broad range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. You will work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various emotional and behavioral issues. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clientele is crucial to providing culturally competent care.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is mandatory.
  • Examinations: A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to effectively assess and treat a variety of mental health conditions.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure efficient documentation and case management.
  • Expertise in managing clients with underlying physical health conditions and addiction disorders.
  • Knowledge of best practices as delineated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for maintaining strong therapeutic relationships and documenting client progress.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
