Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments regarding residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop targeted therapy goals.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate functional independence.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to, activity-based therapies, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment, while engaging in hands-on exercises tailored to each patient's interests.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and nursing staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to care and rehabilitation.
• Track patient progress through meticulous documentation and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and resources to support daily living and enhance rehabilitation at home.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and adhere to professional standards to maintain quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of patients, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or facing the challenges of aging-related impairments. This includes stroke survivors, patients with neurological disorders, and individuals with mobility limitations. Your empathy and understanding will be key in building trusting relationships and facilitating meaningful progress in their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of California.
• Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for interacting with patients, families, and team members alike.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
