Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Periscope Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations using a variety of diagnostic and prognostic tests, including muscle strength and functional ability assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s specific needs and goals, ensuring compliance with physician prescriptions.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective execution of treatment plans and maintain high standards of care.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other modalities to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices to enhance patients' mobility and independence.
• Document clinical notes and patient progress accurately, maintaining compliance with established regulatory standards and internal protocols.
• Conduct regular reviews and adjustments of care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members during case conferences.
• Introduce and instruct patients and their families on the use and care of physical therapy equipment.
• Stay accessible to support Physical Therapy Assistants during patient treatments to ensure optimal care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following educational and licensure requirements:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current physical therapy license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as some local travel may be required.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with experience in both homecare and acute care settings will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
