Job description

Dental Assistant Opportunity

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. If you're looking for a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities, this is the perfect position for you!

This is a full-time traveling position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Regular travel is required between our Dadeland location, our Miramar location, and our Coral Springs location. Please note mileage reimbursement is provided.

A valid EFDA and X-Ray certification is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
Qualifications:
  • Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
Requirements:

Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.

  • Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
  • Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
  • Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
  • Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
