Job description

Overview

SUMMARY:

The Business and Financial Analyst performs financial analysis in support of assigned programs, including preparing financial reports, forecasts, and budget submissions, processing and tracking requisitions, monitoring expenditures against approved budgets, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and preparing ad hoc financial analyses using financial software. This role requires one (1) year of experience performing financial analysis, with demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, requisitioning, forecasting, and the use of financial software (ERP preferred). This position requires a DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform financial analysis in support of program and business operations. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budget submissions. Process and track requisitions and monitor expenditures against approved budgets. Support development and maintenance of financial forecasts and variance analyses. Utilize financial software, including ERP systems where applicable, to manage and analyze financial data. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist in identifying financial discrepancies and bring them to the attention of management. Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

One (1) years of experience performing financial analysis. Demonstrated experience in the following areas: financial reporting, budgeting, requisitioning, forecasting, and utilization of financial software (ERP preferred).

Work is typically performed in an office setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
