Description

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for translating customer requirements and forecasts into precise, executable manufacturing plans that ensure on-time production and delivery. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales, this role ensures material readiness, schedule accuracy, and streamlined workflow across all stages of the electronics assembly process. The Manufacturing Planner is a key contributor to inventory optimization, schedule management, customer communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed manufacturing plans based on customer orders and forecasts.

  • Align production schedules with capacity constraints, delivery commitments, and overall operational goals.

  • Ensure material, component, and tooling availability to fully support production schedules.

  • Optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.

  • Maintain and analyze product forecasts for long-term inventory planning.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Purchasing to address production challenges, review design updates, and maintain workflow efficiency.

  • Participate in engineering design reviews to assess manufacturing impact, cost implications, and inventory needs.

  • Monitor production progress, identify schedule risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery.

  • Prepare regular reports on delivery performance, schedule adherence, and order status metrics.

  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with Sales regarding status updates, inquiries, and potential constraints.

  • Support customer discussions related to scheduling, material availability, and production considerations.

What You Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related manufacturing operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical field (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic manufacturing processes and assembly workflows.

  • Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend effective corrective actions.

  • Proven communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing production plans, schedules, and material requirements.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SAP planning systems.

  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.

Why Join the Team

You’ll be joining a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise directly influences operational success and customer satisfaction. You’ll partner with teams across the organization, contribute to meaningful process improvements, and help shape efficient, high-quality electronics manufacturing. This role offers meaningful responsibility, growth opportunities, and a supportive team culture.

Who Will Excel in This Role

The ideal candidate is:

  • A detail-driven planner with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Comfortable making data-driven decisions in fast-moving environments.

  • Skilled at balancing schedule demands, material constraints, and customer expectations.

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
