Sylvan Learning of Anderson is currently hiring a Part-Time Academic Coach. Sylvan Learning provides academic tutoring for students from elementary through 12th grade so that students can get ahead or get caught up. Our company mission is to inspire and see success with every child.
The Part-Time Academic Coach plays a crucial role in delivering educational content to the students to ensure mastery of skill while at the same time building confidence boosting rapport with the student. This position is educational and relational. Still excited? You guessed it, keep on reading...

Typical Hours:
  • Monday or Wednesday afternoons, as early as 4:00 and as late as 6:00 pm
  • Some Saturdays as early as 10am to 12pm or as late as 2pm if teaching our STEM club
  • Occasional events, varying from an all-day to just morning, afternoon, or evening

Benefits: • NO LESSON PLANNING! • NO PARENTS OR PAPERWORK TO DEAL WITH • Teach as few as two or as many as six+ hours per week (your availability matters), since you set your availability, as long as its sometime between 3pm and 6pm Monday through Thursday (as we open additional days through the week) with morning times available in the summer and/or Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm or as late as 2pm if teaching our STEM club • Training provided • Hourly rate starting between $11.5-$12.5 (based on experience) with $0.25 increases for each curriculum added beyond basic reading and elementary math • Immediate family receives 30% off tutoring at this Sylvan • Making a difference in many children's lives • An absolute FUN place to be!
