Swift Peace Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess physical capabilities and limitations, then set individualized treatment goals based on physician referrals and patient needs.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs utilizing various therapeutic interventions aimed at optimizing patient recovery and functional independence.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, plans of care, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring ongoing improvements in patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and support staff, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Engage in collaborative interactions with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare specialists to create a comprehensive care management plan.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings to discuss patient progress, share best practices, and provide feedback for organizational improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Swift Peace, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic illnesses. Your role will involve optimizing the functional capabilities of patients across all age groups, ensuring that their rehabilitative journeys are tailored to meet their unique needs. You will evaluate mobility challenges that stem from a variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer software.
Preferred Experience
  • At least one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting, although new graduates with exceptional clinical aspirations and skills will be considered.
  • Experience with manual therapy techniques and knowledge of current therapeutic modalities.
Compensation and Benefits
