A Sun Valley Gift Shop Retail Associate will work in one of our retail venues. Qualified applicants must be knowledgeable of all product offerings and able to provide excellent customer satisfaction. This is a seasonal part-time position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
- Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales
- Occasionally stamp, mark, or tag the merchandise price
- Obtain merchandise requested by the customer or receive merchandise selected by the customer
- Answer questions concerning location, price, and use of the merchandise
- Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill
- Accept payment and make the correct change
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers
- Clean shelves, counters, or tables
- Remove and record the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift
- Calculate sales discount to determine the price
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Flexibility to work varying a schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
