About the Organization

At Summit Healthcare Group, we prioritize the well-being of our clients and staff, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and personal fulfillment. Our mission is to empower individuals facing mental health challenges through compassionate care and evidence-based treatment approaches. With a focus on outpatient services, we strive to create a supportive network for both our clients and our clinicians.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing flexibility for counselors to create their own schedules while working from the safety and comfort of their homes. Our organization utilizes a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to streamline documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those for insurance providers such as Medicaid and Medicare. We provide a HIPAA-compliant platform that facilitates secure telehealth sessions, enabling counselors to maintain confidentiality and provide effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional counseling services to clients through various modalities, including individual, family, and group sessions.
  • Assist clients in identifying problems and developing solutions through therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment plans to address issues related to mental health, trauma, or dual diagnosis.
  • Conduct regular assessments and maintain thorough documentation in our cloud-based EHR, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and schedule telehealth sessions while maintaining a focus on client safety and confidentiality.
  • Engage in continuous communication with clients, providing support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Summit Healthcare Group, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Our client base varies in age and background, offering you the chance to employ a range of therapeutic techniques to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of Kansas is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of three years of experience providing mental health counseling services.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and strong technical skills, including reliable access to a laptop or desktop with internet connectivity and a web camera.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Pursuant to our hiring policy, candidates must successfully complete a background check.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing counseling services through telehealth modalities.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Experience working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or veterans, is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

Summit Healthcare Group offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, based on education, experience, and specialization. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • 401(k) matching plan to support your financial future.

  • Health savings account (HSA) to assist with medical expenses.
  • Paid time off (PTO) to promote work-life balance.
  • Professional development assistance to further your career and skills.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments and promote job satisfaction.
