JOB TITLE: Aircraft Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Summary:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems and structures with moderate to advanced complexity under minimal supervision.

  • Communicate effectively to understand and execute work assignments.

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal oversight.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA and internal inspection/documentation requirements in coordination with MTL, STM, and Inspection teams.

  • Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and documentation accurately and on time.

  • Maintain quality standards in all tasks and assist with shift turnovers as needed.

  • Properly tag, store, and secure customer property and equipment.

  • Operate ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, hydraulic lifts, tow tugs) following standard procedures.

  • Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians.

  • Collect and dispose of waste materials (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids) properly.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by applying 6S and Lean principles.

  • Use and maintain company tools and equipment, returning items to storage after use.

  • Follow all safety regulations and address unsafe conditions proactively.

  • Use the material tracking system for parts demand, tracking squawks, labor charges, and work order updates.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

  • This position ensures high-quality maintenance and compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years on mid/large-size aircraft.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, repair station manuals, and company policies.

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks to ensure the safety of people and property.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
