Job description

JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer Level 2
LOCATION: Seattle, WA
PAY RATE: $56.75/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Summary: 

  • Participates in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

  • Identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

  • Conducts producibility analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Provides producibility information for project plans and documents producibility best practices.

  • Analyzes design and build concepts to evaluate producible design and build definitions.

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.

  • Creates manufacturing plans including work instructions, kitting, tooling, and inspection requirements.

  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

  • Implements lean principles and technologies for process improvement.

  • Collaborates with Supplier Management to establish lab test integration requirements and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited course.

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing processes and assembly sequencing.

  • Prior experience working on Boeing Manufacturing System.

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects or teams.

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.

  • Preferred: Experience with space or military electronics.

  • Preferred: Experience with manufacturing tools (PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp).
