JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer 4
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA
PAY RATE: $95.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Designs next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems.

  • Develops and verifies multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.

  • Allocates, defines, and verifies requirements and interfaces for communication digital payloads.

  • Develops performance and link budgets for satellite communication systems.

  • Conducts performance analysis of signal processing models.

  • Assists with conducting trade studies for system design and performance optimization.

  • Develops prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds.

  • Supports unit-level integration and performance simulations.

  • Supports ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.

  • Supports hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 1+ years of experience with signal processing or image processing.

  • 5+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering.

  • Preferred: Master's degree in signal processing or algorithm development focus.

  • Preferred: Development of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs.

  • Preferred: Digital Signal Processing based classes, projects, or work experience.

  • Preferred: Simulink experience in work or school, and experience with Python, C++, or other languages.

  • Preferred: Verification planning and principles with application of theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.
