About the Organization

Located in Salem, Oregon, Stone Point Behavioral Health Services operates with the mission of delivering comprehensive mental health care through evidence-based therapies. Our team consists of highly skilled psychiatrists and mental health professionals who work collaboratively to foster a supportive environment for both clients and staff. By joining us, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to empowering individuals to overcome challenges like trauma, anxiety, and depression, facilitating personal growth and resilience.

Work Environment

This role will be performed in a fully remote setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your home while ensuring flexibility in your schedule. You will typically work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some adjustments to accommodate client needs. Our community health clinic model emphasizes a team-oriented approach, where open communication and collaboration flourishes, contributing to a rich professional atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will take on a variety of important tasks including:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other clinical modalities aimed at promoting mental health stability.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Engaging in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss treatment strategies and improve the quality of care delivered.
  • Educating clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available, ensuring they feel supported throughout their recovery journey.
  • Staying current on the latest research and advancements in mental health care to integrate new methodologies into your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse range of patients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional trauma, and other mental health issues. By leveraging your unique therapeutic approaches and empathetic listening skills, you will play a critical role in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges and achieve meaningful improvement in their well-being.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy techniques, with the ability to adapt your approach to address the specific needs of each client.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to assess situations and determine appropriate interventions.
  • A collaborative mindset, valuing the contributions of your peers and actively engaging in team efforts.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in community mental health settings or those who have specialized training in trauma-informed care will be prioritized. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also beneficial to streamline documentation and assessment processes.
