Stone Point Behavioral Health Services is actively seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our remote outpatient team in Houston, Texas. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. As a qualified candidate, you will provide essential mental health counseling services, utilizing evidence-based interventions to support individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.

About the Organization

Stone Point Behavioral Health Services is a respected provider of comprehensive mental health services, committed to empowering individuals to overcome challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. Our outpatient office boasts a highly regarded team of professionals, including psychiatrists and other mental health specialists, who are passionate about delivering high-quality care. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes the well-being of both clients and staff, ensuring that every team member has the resources needed to thrive.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and comfort while delivering care to our clients. As a member of a dynamic team, you will benefit from consistent collaboration with colleagues through virtual meetings and digital communications. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient needs. The minimal paperwork required means you can focus on what matters most: improving your clients' mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices to inform tailored treatment plans for each client.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities, adapting techniques based on individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide coordinated care, participating in case consultations and peer review meetings.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by reviewing current research and advancements within the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from a diverse array of backgrounds, facing various mental health challenges. They include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health issues. As a therapist, you will work closely with these individuals to help them navigate their struggles and build resilience, ultimately leading to improved well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Demonstrated understanding of solution-focused psychotherapy interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address complex client needs.
Preferred Experience

While work experience is not a strict barrier, candidates with previous clinical experience working with adult and adolescent populations in an outpatient setting are preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records systems and a commitment to evidence-based practice will further enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • A competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on skills and experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health needs.
  • Life and disability insurance for added financial security.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage, along with professional liability protection to allow you to practice confidently.
  • An employee assistance program for additional support during difficult times.
  • Unlimited referrals enable you to maintain a fulfilling caseload.
  • Minimal paperwork requirements, allowing you to pour your energy into client care.
