Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

The Mental Health Therapist will engage in diverse clinical tasks that contribute to the success of our patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to develop personalized treatment plans informed by evidence-based practices.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records in adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational guidelines.
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to enhance care delivery, share insights, and facilitate case management.
  • Engaging in regular case consultations to collectively improve treatment effectiveness and support client outcomes.
  • Providing education and resources to clients and their families to navigate mental health issues effectively.
  • Conducting ongoing research to remain current with the latest developments in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal issues. Your expertise will empower clients to work through their challenges, achieve personal growth, and develop the necessary skills to lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.
  • Proven ability to apply solution-based psychotherapy interventions, demonstrating flexibility in treatment approaches tailored to individuals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities essential for providing effective care.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in a team-oriented environment, particularly within outpatient mental health settings.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and care coordination.
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and treatment strategies, particularly those focusing on trauma recovery and resilience building.
