You will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as Linux, Kubernetes, high-performance computing (HPC), distributed storage, load balancing, and more.

Towards the end of the programme there will be 1-week rotations within our DevOps and Systems teams so that you can gain hands-on experience within those areas.

  • Contributing to automation tasks using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
  • Maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines
  • Document issues, update runbooks, to aid your colleagues

Required skills:

  • Familiarity with Python
  • Understanding of fundamentals of hardware infrastructure
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, assess competing priorities and remain well-organised
  • Scientific curiousity and desire to learn and continuously improve system performance
  • Good communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to one or more of containers, Kubernetes, VMs, Distributed Storage
  • Understanding of modern telemetry tooling
  • Interest in HPC, Schedulers, or CI/CD systems

The minimum base salary for this role is $100,000 if located in New York.  This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting.  This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.  This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.  Successful candidates' compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
