Job description

Spring Education Group’s K-12 Division includes nearly 75 schools, with programs spanning Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Across all our K-12 schools, the common theme is our dedication to providing high-quality education and delivering superior educational outcomes through a variety of acclaimed pedagogical approaches. Our private elementary schools provide challenging academics, personalized attention for each student, and strong partnerships among parents, teachers, students, and staff. Our proven curricula and our caring community of educators are committed to delivering superior preschool through 12th grade education.

Spring Education Group is seeking an Early Childhood Education Manager to support its IK12 Division. This role will be part of the IK12 Education Team, which includes a Senior Director and a K–12 Education Manager. The ECE Manager will report to the Senior Director and serve as the division’s principal early childhood literacy expert.

This is a remote role; however, qualified candidates must reside in California, Nevada, Texas, or Arizona. The role requires periodic travel to our Spring Education Group Home Office in California and frequent travel to school campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead expert on early childhood literacy for the IK12 Education Team.
  • Identify and update phonics-based literacy resources aligned with the Links to Learning curriculum.
  • Promote and communicate literacy resources across IK12 schools, leveraging regional directors, on-campus leader mentors, and instructional mentor teachers.
  • Review, develop, and pilot new literacy resources over time.
  • Create and deliver onboarding and ongoing professional development for teachers and school leaders — both in-person and online.
  • Guide and coordinate the work of four IK12 ECE Leader Mentors.
  • Collaborate with regional directors and principals to select and manage a cohort of 30 Links to Learning Instructional Mentor Teachers (IMTs).
  • Support the implementation of Academic Pre-K, a programmatic shift launching in the 2026–27 school year in approximately 15 pre-kindergarten classrooms that will augment the Links to Learning curriculum with direct instruction in academic skills, including phonics-based reading instruction and foundational mathematics.
  • Facilitate a cohort of Academic Pre-K mentor teachers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Reading Specialist, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in early literacy instruction, including phonics-based and developmentally appropriate approaches.
  • Kindergarten teaching or instructional leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning for adult educators (virtual and in-person).
  • Strong communication and coaching skills across multiple school sites and regions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects across diverse school environments.
  • Experience with curriculum frameworks or developing instructional resources preferred.
  • Ability to analyze instructional needs and use data to inform development of resources and training.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and availability to travel periodically to school sites and the California-based Home Office.
Benefits
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA)
  • Tuition remission for employees’ children
  • Continued education tuition savings through our university partners
