Position Overview

Spring Edge Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role focuses on providing vital support to individuals facing significant challenges, including neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health issues, and parental substance abuse. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining high levels of communication and support with team members and clients. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will predominantly engage with clients through telephone sessions and virtual meetings, although in-person meetings may occasionally occur in conjunction with school-based interactions. The work schedule is structured for a full-time commitment, from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a stable environment to balance work and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and gather pertinent information on client cases to determine individual needs and appropriate interventions.
• Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary, ensuring clients feel supported and safe during challenging times.
• Actively engage clients in therapeutic activities and services, both over the phone and in person, to promote participation and foster resilience.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans while preparing detailed reports for supervisor review.
• Facilitate communication with external agencies, making referrals to additional services as needed to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in regular training, supervision, and team meetings to ensure continued professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Monitor for signs of child abuse and other safety concerns, responding appropriately in alignment with legal and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents who are enrolled in schools and their families. Clients may present with a range of challenges, including emotional distress, behavioral issues, and difficulties stemming from domestic violence or substance abuse within their homes. The LCSW will play an essential role in navigating these complex issues, supporting clients by establishing trust and creating a safe space for discussion and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is required.
• A valid LCSW license in Illinois is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to listen actively and empathically to clients.
• Proven ability to assess, diagnose, and develop actionable treatment plans for diverse client needs.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), for documentation and communication.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred for any required in-person meetings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with at-risk populations, particularly children and families affected by neglect, abuse, or mental health disorders.
• Familiarity with school-based counseling practices and frameworks that enhance student well-being.
• Understanding of crisis intervention techniques and strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, employees are eligible for monthly productivity bonuses, generous paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and participation in dependent care accounts.
