Position Overview

Spring Edge Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients, utilizing standardized screening tools and interviews to gather relevant information.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique goals, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote emotional healing and resilience.
• Engage in regular collaboration with other treatment team members, facilitating case reviews and multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate client care effectively.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients’ families, empowering them to participate actively in the therapeutic process and sustaining recovery.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Spring Edge Counseling Center, we prioritize serving a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds. You will work with clients facing a wide array of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the specific cultural and personal needs of each client, ensuring all feel understood and valued.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for treating a variety of mental health conditions.
• Exceptional counseling and therapeutic skills, with a keen ability to establish rapport and create a safe space for clients to explore their mental health challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and meaningful interaction with clients.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly focused on adult and adolescent populations.
• Experience with telehealth services and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds and a commitment to cultural competence.

Compensation and Benefits

Spring Edge Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, our benefits package includes:
