WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a key player within the marketing team, with a focus on creating dynamic, branded visual and written content for our corporate and community teams. We are looking for someone who is eager to launch their career in marketing & communications, has exceptional attention to detail, and is team-oriented.


WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

Content Creation and Management

  • Create and produce community-level marketing flyers and promotional materials in Canva according to brand standards and leasing team needs.
  • Organize, maintain and manage company Canva library.
  • Continuous creation of templates as promotions, pricing and seasonal campaigns change.
  • Process and fulfill collateral requests from leasing teams, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
  • Partner with Residential Marketing Specialist to review material submissions for brand compliance before distribution.


Written Communication

  • Support our Senior Communications Specialist with communication planning monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Draft and edit articles for weekly and monthly newsletters.
  • Provide back up support for email communications tools.
  • Create copy to support graphic and Canva flyer creation.


Marketing Process Management

  • Manage and track open collateral request, communicating updates efficiently.
  • Partner with the Marketing Team Lead and Digital Marketing Manager for campaign planning and scheduling.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing resources, documentation and filing systems.
  • Support team and corporate strategic objectives through timely Purchase Order creation.
  • Assist Marketing Team Lead with project management for department projects and goals.


Corporate and Community Partnership

  • Bridge the gap between corporate and communities, being a key resource and partner with community team members.
  • Facilitate regular brand training for community team members alongside Residential Marketing Specialist.
  • Support corporate marketing campaigns with design materials, as needed.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Keep a pulse on industry trends and competitive market conditions, supporting the ability to adapt strategies to address specific multifamily community needs.
  • Comply with all Southern Management’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the department lead and/or manager.


JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Detail-oriented and able to follow through with all assigned tasks
  • Team-oriented, with a customer service approach to tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Flexible, open-minded, and works well under pressure
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Understanding in Yardi/CRM equivalent and ILS platforms.
  • 1-2 years’ work experience as a marketing coordinator or higher level.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Expert Working knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Multi-family industry experience, or other B2C industry experience preferred

Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000
