Position Overview

Small Steps Developmental Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team remotely as a full-time practitioner. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, ensuring rapport and trust through consistent and professional interactions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to discuss progress, stability, treatment options, and planning for discharge when necessary.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that focus on the unique needs of each client, applying best practices in mental health interventions.
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress notes, adhering to state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Perform comprehensive intake assessments to identify clients’ mental health status and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, employing various therapeutic techniques and approaches tailored to client needs.
  • Engage in ongoing supervision to enhance your skills and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
  • Maintain a positive and growth-oriented mindset in all therapeutic practices, encouraging the same from peers.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population, including a diverse array of ages and backgrounds, each facing unique mental health challenges. Our client focus spans both individuals and families, aiming to empower them through evidence-based therapeutic practices that facilitate lasting change and improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or closely related field.
  • Current, unrestricted, active Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a clinical outpatient setting following graduation, demonstrating competence in providing mental health counseling.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Excel, RMS, Outlook, and the PIMSY software platform, essential for documentation and scheduling.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in providing psychotherapy services to individuals and families, tailoring approaches based on clinical assessments.
  • Comfort and experience with intake assessments, understanding their importance in developing effective treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits

Small Steps Developmental Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Our compensation model operates on a Fee-for-Service basis, ensuring financial stability with guaranteed rates that are paid ahead of collections. Additional financial incentives include:
