Creating tech pack schematics and making good design decisions

A technical, production-minded graphic designer - this role is heavy on the technical graphic design side
Someone who understands design thinking, but this is not a conceptual design role
Genuine interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
Taking graphics from Graphic Designers and executing them for production
Building tech pack schematics
Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, and maintaining files for product design
Making sound design decisions within production constraints
PORTFOLIO EXPECTATIONS
Design schematics, range as a graphic designer, digital design for print
Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, packaging design
Portfolios should be more technical and show process work for print, book, or product design
Not looking for: illustration-heavy or branding-heavy portfolios, or portfolios focused on concept work
MUST-HAVE
1+ years of experience with schematic or graphic production design - e.g. packaging, print design, footwear, technical graphic design, book design, typography
Graphic Design degree or similar
Strong technical graphic design capability; understands design thinking without being a conceptual designer
Interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics
Portfolio demonstrating technical process work
NICE-TO-HAVE
Knowledge of pre-press, screen printing, trims, printing process, typography
Adobe Illustrator, pre-press color separations, maintaining files for product design
Strong footwear interest (experience not required)
Previous industry experience in this space
