Position Overview

Sharp Mental Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team as a full-time therapist. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations as needed, ensuring accurate diagnoses of mental and emotional disorders.
  • Develop treatment plans that outline clear objectives and measurable outcomes, consulting with other mental health professionals to enhance client care.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adjusting treatment methods based on ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Participate in periodic therapeutic retreats and community outreach activities, contributing to a holistic approach to mental health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational policies on billing and insurance claims.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client focus will include a diverse population, serving both adults and children/adolescents who face a variety of psychological challenges. You will engage in complex therapeutic relationships, providing support and intervention for issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and more. Our community health clinic aims to reach those who may otherwise lack access to mental health services, emphasizing the importance of culturally competent care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • You must hold an active LMFT license in the State of California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in a therapeutic setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in various modalities of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and family systems therapy.
  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations, treatment planning, and progress assessments.
  • A background in providing care in community mental health settings is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients in high-stress situations.
  • Strong organizational abilities for managing case documentation, billing, and compliance requirements.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
