Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is actively hiring a Technical Director, IC Strategy & Mission Integration to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Qualified candidates must be U.S

citizens with a TS/SCI clearance. The ideal candidate is a trusted national security executive with deep experience shaping mission needs into funded programs, influencing significant investment decisions, and guiding technology integration for intelligence missions. They maintain trusted relationships with senior leadership throughout the IC and a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and align stakeholders at all levels.

They bring a strong technical foundation, including digital engineering, modeling/simulation/analysis, mission architecture, and major system acquisition, and apply that expertise to develop thoughtful engagement plans, strategic campaigns, and mission-aligned solutions. This role blends strategic thinking, senior customer engagement, and hands-on solution leadership. It requires someone capable of representing MTSI at the highest levels of the IC, while also rolling up their sleeves to shape problem statements, design integrated solutions, and drive early integration activities.

Responsibilities: Lead the integration of MTSI's differentiated capabilities in digital engineering, modeling & simulation, mission engineering, data/AI, and secure digital ecosystems, into credible IC solutions. Shape technical narratives and integrated solution approaches for priority missions such as space system modernization, ISR architectures, TCPED modernization, secure communications, special programs, and analytic modernization. Support early capture, including shaping requirements, designing strength-based solutioning, and steering win strategies.

Guide internal IRAD and capability investments to align with IC missions and gaps. Engage senior leaders across the IC and DoW to cultivate trust relationships. Translate emerging mission needs into actionable, funded requirements through structured engagement, stakeholder alignment, and solution framing.

Develop thoughtful, tailored engagement plans that connect MTSI leaders, technical SMEs, and key customer influencers across targeted agencies. Represent MTSI within Government and industry technical discussions, concept development sessions, and mission architecture working groups. Support MTSI's strategic growth initiatives across Title 10 and Title 50 agencies, focusing on high-end, mission-critical programs aligned with MTSI's strategic plan.

Thoughtfully approach and deliver MTSI's differentiated capabilities to new customer missions. Identify and shape solutions by aligning MTSI capabilities to priority IC missions (TCPED, analysis, secure communications, special programs, national security space, mission architecture). Drive Title 10 Title 50 mission integration strategies and activities, leveraging MTSI's DoW technical depth to create differentiated solutions for IC missions.

Leverage experience with major system acquisitions (MSA) to support customer decisions and acquisition strategy development. Provide senior advisory support to MTSI capture teams on federal procurement processes, enterprise architectures, and key decision forums. Assist in positioning MTSI solutions for strategic sourcing vehicles, multi-tenant contracts, sole-source follow-ons, and special access programs.

Serve as a senior member of the National Security division's IC-focused growth team, supporting alignment of Business Unit (BU) strategies, capability focus areas (CFAs), and technical roadmaps to IC market demand. Coach MTSI teams on IC customer culture, mission priorities, engineering rigor, and stakeholder engagement models. Embody MTSI's employee-first, trust-based culture, demonstrating transparency, collaboration, humility, and mission dedication This role is a cornerstone of that strategy - blending senior IC relationships, mission engineering expertise, and a thoughtful growth mindset to build a trusted presence across CIA, NRO, NGA, NSA, DIA, and ODNI.

Help MTSI close the Title 10 / Title 50 gap, accelerate modern digital mission capabilities across the IC, and position MTSI as the premier Government-side integrator on programs of national significance. Required Qualifications: 20+ years of national security experience directly supporting the Intelligence Community. Demonstrated ability influencing enterprise-level investment decisions and shaping Major System Acquisitions.

Experience as a senior technical director, mission strategist, or systems engineering leader within the IC. Technical credibility in digital engineering, MBSE, systems engineering, mission architecture, modeling/simulation, or national security space. Proven history of senior stakeholder engagement within national IC leadership circles.

Demonstrated ability to translate mission problems into structured technical solutions and funded programs. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at executive levels. Desired Qualifications: Mission-first mindset: Grounded in operational credibility and national security urgency.

Strategic integrator: Unifying mission needs, customer landscapes, and technical capabilities into coherent plans and strategies. Trusted partner: Demonstrates humility, technical depth, and authenticity that builds trust and strong, senior-level relationships. Technical storyteller: Capable of expressing complex engineering concepts in the language of mission outcomes.

Collaborative leader: Elevates teams, mentors junior staff, and strengthens MTSI's culture. Action-oriented: Moves quickly, makes informed decisions, and designs practical engagement plans.

Clearance Requirements: Qualified candidates must have an active TS/SCI; polygraph is desirable. The pay range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
