Shadow To Light Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of USD 100,000 – 110,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a positive impact in the lives of individuals in Suffolk, Virginia, and beyond. You will engage with clients through online therapy platforms, creating an inclusive and welcoming virtual space for open dialogue. Our flexible schedule, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promotes a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to manage your professional and personal commitments effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients, employing evidence-based practices to address their mental health needs.
  • Create a judgment-free environment where clients feel safe and supported while discussing their challenges and aspirations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to identify their personal goals and develop comprehensive treatment plans that are tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Utilize advanced online therapy tools to deliver effective care and monitor client progress remotely.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with ethical standards and organizational protocols.
  • Offer crisis intervention when necessary and provide resources for additional support to clients experiencing acute distress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your therapeutic expertise will directly impact diverse client populations, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. You will play a crucial role in breaking down barriers to access mental health services, striving to make care more equitable and available to those who need it most. By addressing the unique needs of each client, you will contribute to meaningful improvements in their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Current and valid licensure in Virginia as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated expertise in therapy modalities and treatment planning, with a focus on client-centered approaches.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in a virtual context, fostering effective relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and online platforms for therapy delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
  • Familiarity with telehealth best practices and the ability to adapt strategies for a virtual environment.
