Job description

OUTSIDE PARTS SALES- SALARY PLUS COMMISSION
Build relationships. Grow your territory. Own your results.
If you’re the kind of person who can walk into a shop, start a conversation, build trust, and turn that
relationship into long-term business, we want to talk to you.

The Service Company is looking for an Outside Parts Sales professional who understands that great sales
isn’t about throwing a pitch at everyone you meet. It’s about knowing your customers, understanding what
keeps their operation moving, solving problems, and becoming the person they call when they need
something.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk sales position.
You’ll be out in your territory building relationships with customers—from corporate offices to working truck
shops. You’ll manage and grow an existing book of business while also finding the next customer who
should be doing business with The Service Company.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Your territory is yours to grow.
Your time will be split between  managing existing accounts and seeking new customers.
 Build strong, lasting relationships with customers through regular communication and on-site visits.
 Manage assigned accounts with the expectation of year-over-year revenue growth.
 Learn your customers’ businesses and identify opportunities where we can better serve them.
 Introduce customers to additional product lines and categories that make sense for their operation.
 Follow up on leads and turn opportunities into active customers.
 Prospect for new business within your assigned territory.
 Work closely with our inside sales and service teams to make sure customers are taken care of.
 Help onboard new customers and build those relationships from day one.
 Resolve account concerns and follow through when a customer needs help.
 Stay informed about the market and what’s happening in the trucking industry.
 Attend local and regional industry events when needed.
 Assist at the parts counter during busy periods when needed.

WHO WILL DO WELL HERE
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable talking to people, confident enough to ask for the business,
and responsible enough to take ownership of the relationship after getting it.
 Are outgoing, approachable, and genuinely enjoy working with customers.
 Communicate well with everyone from shop employees to corporate decision-makers.
 Don’t need someone standing over you to get things done.
 Can manage multiple customer accounts without letting details fall through the cracks.
 Are proactive when there’s a problem instead of waiting for someone else to fix it.
 Can handle hearing “no” without letting it stop you from going after the next opportunity.
 Understand that taking care of the customer doesn’t end when the sale is made.
 Are comfortable using technology to track customer information and activity.

Previous experience in sales, account management, heavy-duty parts, or the trucking industry is a
plus.

EXPERIENCE
 High school diploma or equivalent required.
 Prior sales experience plus
Experience in truck service and parts is a plus

THIS JOB ISN’T FOR EVERYONE — AND THAT’S OKAY.
If you’d rather wait for customers to come to you, this probably isn’t your job.
But if you like meeting people, building a reputation, solving problems, growing business, and being trusted
to manage your own customers, you may have just found your next opportunity.
Come grow with The Service Company.
