Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and needs when recovering from injury, surgery, or health conditions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize various therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, hands-on therapy, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting treatment responses, and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure goals are met.
• Provide education and training for patients, families, and caregivers regarding proper therapeutic practices and the use of assistive devices to promote self-care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach that integrates various aspects of a patient's care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will encompass a diverse patient population, ranging from children to adults grappling with a variety of diagnoses. The patients you treat may have experienced sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological disorders, or chronic pain challenges, requiring a tailored approach to restore their functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• State licensure in Physical Therapy is essential to practice within Florida's healthcare system.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and patient management.
• Mental dexterity and the ability to adapt your approach based on individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a similar role is required, demonstrating a well-rounded ability to assess and treat patients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
