Position Overview

Sentara Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient team in Charlottesville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish targeted, individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to facilitate patient recovery and improve mobility.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and families on effective therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices to promote independence and safe mobility.
  • Maintain current knowledge of treatment methodologies and advancements in physical therapy through workshops, publications, and professional networking.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and ensure a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient center serves a diverse patient demographic, encompassing individuals of all ages and varying diagnoses, from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain management. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid State License in Physical Therapy is necessary to practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems essential for maintaining patient records.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
