We are searching for a Tax Processing Supervisor to lead our seasonal tax team, support our branch network, and ensure all IRS, state, and internal requirements are met. This is a high-impact role supporting our national tax program, combining leadership, training, compliance, and hands-on tax expertise.
 
What You’ll Do
• Supervise seasonal tax staff, including interviewing, assigning territories, managing schedules, and monitoring call volume.
• Oversee accuracy and compliance in processing IRS, State, Bank, and internal tax forms.
• Provide real-time telephone support to branch employees, Supervisors, and State Leaders.
• Deliver customer relations support to tax customers as needed.
• Develop and administer tax training modules, tutorials, exams, practice returns, and reference materials.
• Conduct live and webinar-based trainings across multiple regions.
• Maintain and report employee status for preparers and tax sales employees.
• Review amendments and IRS/State letters submitted by customers.
• Report Continuing Education hours to the IRS.
• Ensure accurate phone logs and quality conversations with branch personnel.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance—especially during the high-volume tax season.
 
Schedule & Tax Season Requirements
This position follows a regular Monday–Friday schedule of 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the annual tax season (December through April), extended hours are required. The Tax Processing Supervisor must be available between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. as business needs dictate, and Saturday work is required during this period.
 
What You Need to Succeed
• At least two tax seasons with 1040 Tax Services OR equivalent individual tax processing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Individual Income Tax Law.
• Working knowledge of IRS electronic filing procedures.
• Strong Excel and Word skills; highly computer literate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to train and supervise seasonal staff and lead large-scale regional training sessions.
• Willingness to meet IRS requirements for PTIN and participate as a 'responsible official.'
• Seasonal travel required for regional training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled Agent credential preferred OR willingness to obtain.
