Job description

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Back End Java Developer for a 12-month contract position in McLean, Virginia. This role focuses on backend development using modern Java frameworks and cloud technologies, with opportunities to mentor and lead technical initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring technologies
  • Build and deploy applications on AWS, with emphasis on Lambda and Fargate services
  • Collaborate with team members to implement scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on backend architecture and best practices
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Proven expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring framework technologies
    • Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and Fargate
    • Experience in senior or lead-level backend development roles
  • Preferred
    • Familiarity with AI and productivity tools such as Cloud Windsor and Gemini
    • Business rules engine or business rules management system experience
    • Full-stack development capabilities
