Posting Summary
Rutgers Law School invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for tenure-track or tenured positions at the law school's Newark, NJ, campus. The Newark location seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor whose teaching portfolio would include primarily Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing Skills (LAWRS) along with Civil Procedure or Contracts. 
This position is part of the Law School's unitary tenure track. All tenure-track professors, including LAWRS faculty, are full members of the Rutgers Law faculty with access to the same scholarly support, voting rights, and governance participation. Rutgers Law School's Legal Writing program is ranked #11 nationwide. 
All applicants should have a distinguished academic background and either demonstrate great promise or a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching. The position involves responsibilities for teaching, scholarship, and service. All candidates must have a doctorate (JD or PhD) in law or equivalent.
