Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Shop Foremans who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train shop personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedules, allocating resources and delegability to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repair, minimizing downtime and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, initiating requisitions to maintain adequate stock.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, fostering a productive and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; some college or technical training preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools, as well as measurement devices
