Renewal Roots Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our expanding team in Arvada, Colorado. Work Environment

This role is based in a fully remote setting, allowing flexibility and convenience for work-life balance. As part of our detox center team, you will interact virtually with clients, conducting assessments and therapy sessions through telehealth platforms. This virtual work environment requires proficiency in technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring that client records and treatment plans are maintained accurately and confidentially.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for clients entering the detox program, evaluating their personal histories and identifying factors that may impact their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing their specific mental health challenges, fostering resilience, and supporting their recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy to facilitate client engagement and emotional growth.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies with the guidance of a compassionate counselor.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to coordinate care and ensure that clients receive comprehensive and holistic support.
• Provide crisis intervention services during urgent situations, employing effective de-escalation practices and connecting clients with appropriate resources.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health conditions, recovery options, and community resources available to them.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular team meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and promote a collaborative work atmosphere.

Client Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be working with individuals undergoing detoxification and seeking recovery from substance use disorders. The client population is diverse, requiring cultural competency and an understanding of various backgrounds and experiences. Your work will help clients cultivate coping strategies, emotional regulation, and connection to essential mental health resources, playing a critical role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health, preferably within an addiction or detox setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care principles, and evidence-based treatment options is essential.
• Proficient in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing effective treatment plans.
• Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic methods.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with the ability to stay composed and effective in stressful situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client information effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a detox or substance abuse treatment facility is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and online therapy techniques is advantageous.
• Membership with relevant professional organizations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
