Genie Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our remote team, focused on the outpatient treatment of teens and young adults in Galveston, Texas. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Design and lead engaging group sessions where clients can share their experiences, learn coping strategies from one another, and build a strong support network.
• Conducting Individual Therapy: Provide personalized counseling that allows clients to delve into their thoughts and feelings, helping them develop actionable plans and coping tactics to navigate their challenges.
• Developing Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to craft individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and preferences, ensuring their goals are both realistic and achievable.
• Monitoring Progress: Utilize assessment tools to track client outcomes, analyzing progress and adapting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize mental health recovery.
• Collaborating with the Multidisciplinary Team: Engage regularly with fellow clinicians, including social workers and psychologists, to ensure cohesive care and discuss complex cases, ensuring the best possible outcomes for each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30, many of whom are navigating the complexities of adolescence and early adulthood. This demographic often faces unique challenges, including anxiety, depression, and identity issues, requiring a nuanced understanding and tailored therapeutic approaches. You will be instrumental in assisting them in overcoming these challenges, ultimately helping them to achieve lasting recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current LPC licensure in the state of Texas.
• Proven experience working with a diverse client population, specifically those aged 18 to 30.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in mental health treatment, particularly within outpatient settings. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Our comprehensive compensation package reflects the importance of this role. The salary range for this position is USD 85,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer:
